2006 Lyndoch Creek Old Vine Shiraz Limited Vintage
This wine shows an impressive deep red colour. The nose is classic shiraz with pepper berry aromas and earthy undertones. Chocolate and berry flavours with hints of pepper stand out on the palate supported by fine grained tannins and a great depth of flavour. The finish is long and flavoursome.
Danny Caiazza, Antonio’s son was fortunate enough to meet Joe Esposito in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2006 where they became instant friends. Joe Esposito is best known for his association with Elvis Priestly when they first met in 1958 whilst serving in the military. They became lifelong friends and Joe went on to become Elvis’ road manager and was also best man at his wedding to Priscilla.
The relationship between the Caiazza family and Joe has flourished over the years, which has led to the release of a special edition “Diamond Joe” label, exclusive to Lyndoch Creek Wines.
